The Work Expert (TWE) required a complete rewrite and modernization of their existing RFAC platform. The goal was to emulate all existing functionality while introducing improved features where specified. Key objectives included enhancing user experience, ensuring mobile compatibility, implementing biometric identification, and improving reporting capabilities for both clients and employers. The project also aimed to provide a more graphical and interactive dashboard interface, streamline administrative functions, and enable better system integration with third-party services such as SAP OREP and QMed.
Developed using .NET Core and Azure, the system alleviated challenges of importing data from external sources, providing a unified platform for Afrigen’s operations.
The new RFA platform now delivers:
• Replication of existing capabilities with enhanced and modernized features.
• A mobile-compatible interface with biometric client identification.
• Improved client registration workflows and assessment processes (PWC and FWC).
• Robust, graphical reporting for clients and employers, including dashboards and risk profiling.
• Administrative tools for metadata management, HR system integration, and attendance tracking.
• Health promotion, training/webinar features, and digital signature capabilities.
• Notifications, reminders, and a document library for streamlined communication and content delivery.
Development followed Agile methodology, allowing for iterative feedback and prototype delivery.
The project included six key development phases: Discovery, Initial Setup & Scaffolding, Client Module, Visits Module, Reports Module, and Administration Module.
