Afrigen Biologics

Afrigen Biologics and Vaccines, a Cape Town-based biotechnology company, required a production management system to handle raw materials, production runs, stock, and distribution with a robust barcode label printing and scanning solution tailored to their vaccine manufacturing processes. The system as expanded to include a complete asset flow management module, that can process maintenance and calibration flows with invoicing and sign-off procedures.

The system streamlined Afrigen’s production workflows, enabling efficient management of raw materials and distribution. The barcode solution reduced errors in stock tracking, supporting Afrigen’s role as one of South Africa’s first labs to produce COVID vaccines.

Developed using .NET Core and Azure, the system alleviated challenges of importing data from external sources, providing a unified platform for Afrigen’s operations.
